While ankle high boots may be comfortable and fun to wear with a long
skirt, they are not suitable for all occasions. If you are sporting a
short skirt, you probably do not want to pair them up with ankle high
boots. Instead short skirts pair far better with knee high boots.
Knee high boots go well with most short skirts and look good with all but the tightest mini-skirts. They go especially hand-in-hand with mini-skirts that go down to about the mid-thigh level. Wearing knee boots with anything shorter than this may give a less than desirable image of you.

When you buy knee high boots, an important thing to watch out for is the way they fit your calves. Take notice of the width and contour of your calves and buy a knee-high boot that you can easily slip into. People with exceedingly small calves may have to get a pair of boots custom made in order to fit their petite legs.
Comfort should be the most important factor in buying knee high boots as most sizes come in a variety of different styles that are made to fit almost any skirt you choose to pair them up with. If the weather gets cold in your area, consider getting boots with slightly wider calves and fur on the outside of the calf area. You can also wear long and thin socks to tuck your pants into for added protection against the cold. Kneehigh boots even work well with a variety of colored socks that are tall enough to fold over the top of your boot for a new look.
Knee high boots are an excellent choice of footwear for winter weather and can be worn with almost any style. Just make sure you find a matching outfit for your boot style and you will be both comfortable and fashionable.
| "Great knee high boot! These are very cute, comfortable, & they ARE leather. If you're wondering (like I was) if the top part can be unfolded to sort of wear above the knee, they can!! Unfortunately for me, they barely cover my knee when unfolded though because I have somewhat long legs. But they are pretty tall even worn the way they should be, folded down..they come just below my kneecap. I like that they are not too loose in the calf area for a good fit. They are also not too loose around the ankle...I like a good, forming fit. My legs are a little on the smaller side...so if you're worried they might be too tight, remember they are leather & leather stretches & breaks in pretty good. Great style too! The fold gives it a little more orignal look than your ordinary boot, yet still is simple...not overdone. " |
